Happy Fourth Of July
Happy Fourth of July! We (the household, not the "royal we") are happy to be home in one piece, as every other four-way stop was an adventure in sobriety (theirs, not mine).
I guess turn signals, staying in one lane for more than ten feet at a time and stopping anywhere before or in the crosswalk, have all become optional. I hope that all of you made it back home in one piece.

I have noticed a decline in turn signal usage as of late. Are we as a society really getting THAT lazy?
We (the "royal we", not the household) survived the Canada Day Debauchery well enough.
Maybe Atlantans are moving elsewhere; we're notorious for non-signalling (a local trait I avoid).
I played it smart: I played all day, getting home by 6 p.m. so that I could watch our town's fireworks from my deck.
My couch was my designated driver for the day. My butt is numb but I've got all my limbs.
I never left!
Chris,
We are that lazy, or we are on our cell phones.
Sterculian,
Wasn't it you that mentioned how British English was passed down via Canadian road signs?
Beth,
I didn't have a choice in the matter, we always go out for the 4th. It's just like Christmas, those are one of the holidays where you suck it up and take you lumps for the kids.
Chelene,
If there is enough liquor in you, couches are prone to spinning.
Becka,
I'll bet you got charged for staying at home, too. They get you coming and going in the five boroughs.
Um, WP? Didy ou take Independence Day to mean being independent of your blog, too? Your fans are clamoring for more WP fodder, dude. I have precious work hours to waste!
Maybe?
