Um, Okay...

Do you remember that game, "Mousetrap?" I only saw it once as pre-teen and while I didn't play it, the fact that it didn't work after a bunch of us waited patiently for the denouement that was anything but, gave me a lifetime prejudice against the thing (yes, you read right, I'm a game bigot).

At any rate, someone thought it would be a good idea to make a life-sized version. Me? I'm playing the game of Life and The Missus is kicking my ass at it.

So, did you go to college and have twins and get a flat tire and buy stock and fire insurance?

How do you work the spinner?

When you have to go back spaces, do you go back in time??? (I honestly can't remember if Life has "go back a space" spaces).

Not twins, but a kid twice as tall as the next. "Flat tires?" Too damn many. Procrastinator Junior has more stock than I do, though I'm not sure just what they're doing with my retirement plan.

I can't remember if they have a go back system, though The Missus and I do "rock, paper, scissors" for who gets the first nap on the weekends.

I remember that stupid game. The mousetrap always fell halfway through the game and then you spent 20 minutes trying to precariously perch it back on top of the stick.

Becky,

Absolutely. The gaming equivalent of Lucy Van Pelt pulling the football away as you bounce on your back like Charlie Brown.

I will admit to catching the beady-eyed little buggers in an old tupperware container and taking them for a ride out to the country.

You never know, that might be Mrs. Frisby hiding behind the TV cabinet.

Spot,

I don't remember Mrs. Frisby, but I can tell you that Stuart Little would be in a world of shit, if he ever popped up in my household.

Ohmygod! I remember when I got that Mousetrap game, I might have been 6 or 7. I loved that game.

And how mental and nutty do you have to be to make a life-sized game?! I love it!

Tanya,

I wasn't so big a fan of that game, but I thought the artists and craftspeople involved did a tremendous job. I didn't look to see if they put a real wheel of cheese.

I played Mousetrap religiously as a child and rarely had any problem. You guys must be a little retarded. Or I guess we say "special" now, right?
