And A Double Entendre In A Pear Tree
Why did it take me all the way up until yesterday, to figure out the double entendre behind "hurry down the chimney tonight" in "Santa Baby?"

I've never referred to my vagina as a chimney, but that's just me.
Good lord man, that whole song is one great double entendre.

Becky,
See, that's why I really never consider it and...
Bubs,
...I know, but this is a case of I see the forest for the trees, except for the huge p...um, that is, willow tree.
Al,
Whoa, cool! That means I can be President!
I still don't get it.
As for the vulvular reference to the chimney, shouldn't it be "hurry up the chimney" or even "hurry back and forth through the chimney"? Oh, the semantics.
Merry Christmas, WP!
Listen closely to "Santa Claus Is Back in Town." I get the shivers thinking of Santa coming down my chimney tonight.
Christmas kisses to my favorite West Coast boy!
Thats the WP we know & love! Merry Christmas to you and the family!
Patrick J,
Welcome (though I believe that you've been here before)!
"I still don't get it."
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
...nevermind ; )
ITSW,
Since the song was written way back in 1953, the direct lyrical approach was out of the question.
Beth,
Gahh, that is scary!
Mwahh kisses right back at ya!
Chris,
"Thats the WP we know & love!"
Where? Where? I'll kill the bastard.
Merry Christmas to you, Megan and the family, too!
this is why 'santa baby' is the only carol i know all the words to.
Quin,
This and "Winter Wonderland" are the only two where I know just over 80% of the lyrics.
I am so glad that Commerical-mas is over, so I don't have to hear "Santa Baby" or "The Suite To The Nutcracker" until mid-November.
don't feel bad, sweetie. I always thought "round yon virgin" was "brown young virgin". I'm just sayin'.
Katie-lah,
You...
...are
...so
...bad.
I feel so dirty now. I like it.
Dale,
Oh, sure, but what about everyone else's needs?
