It's Time For Writing Quotes Again

"Sometimes the rewriting is kind of like twitching -- it's a twitching that keeps you active while you're trying to figure out what to [write] next. You're rewriting the scene that you're rewriting, but that's causing your writing muscles to actually start writing the scene you're going to do next." – Mr. Brooks' Bruce A. Evans

Um...

Rhetorical spells
By the seashore?

"The two most engaging powers of an author are to make new things familiar and familiar things new." – Samuel Johnson

Oooh, I think I like that one. This week, I like this one the best...

"My inner voice hits me because it loves me."

-John Donald Carlucci

Angel,

It's time for poorly mixed metaphors, with your host, Write Procrastinator!

Thank you, Announcing Voice in Write Procrastinator's Head! Well now, let's get to the heart of the matter, Don Henley...

"Sometimes the rewriting is kind of like twitching -- it's a twitching that keeps you active while you're trying to figure out what to [write] next."

When Bruce A. Evans refers to the "twitch muscles," those are the reflexive muscles that you rely on in sports. The "reactive" muscles if you will...

"You're rewriting the scene that you're rewriting, but that's causing your writing muscles to actually start writing the scene you're going to do next."

...and "rewriting" is helping you with your next scene, even though you don't know it.

That's why athletes practice so much and that practicing isn't about conditioning, exclusively. But also being able to work as a team and react to a situation faster than the other team.

Announcing Voice in Write Procrastinator's Head, what does Angel go home with, for playing?

A tin of chipped beef!

Announcing Voice in Write Procrastinator's Head? You're fired!

It's not like you pay me anything, you cheap b******!

All right, that's it, you are so out of here!
