It's really apples and oranges, or apparently, iPods and Elmos. Somehow, the new "TMX Elmo, maybe a rival to the iPod for this holiday season's most in-demand gift.
Of course, the story that the headlines somehow managed to neglect is the failure of the "Tickle Me Procrastinator." You tickle him and maybe he laughs.

I am not a fan of tickling, especially amongst casual internet acquaintances.
In all seriousness, Alexis is a likely candidate to receive an iPod this year, and Emily is a likely candidate to receive a "Tickle Me Elmo." Thus, my immediate family is the ultimate example of rampant consumerism destroying the true meaning of Christmas, whatever that might be.
